Someone obviously lost the memo explaining that it is March, in North Carolina, and planned a snow storm. So all my plans for babysitters and helping in Amanda's class and a teacher conference trading babysitting so a friend could go to a career group and driving kids to school and getting Michael to watch friends kids are up in the air. I guess that will teach me to try to make complicated plans...
At least, unlike Maryland, they have not preemptively cancelled Eleanor's and Amanda's school. I am expecting (hoping, actually) that it is delayed, but we'll see. They seem to have the attitude that if you can make it in, you should, because school is fun.

Anyway, public schools are cancelled here and the college doesn't open until 11. We'll see if my 3pm class happens.
It really is beautiful out there -- big flakes. Anders has been out already and now wants hot chocolate. Sounds good to me. I'm kind of excited to have my own snow day. It is stressful when public schools are canceled, but not the college, but wonderful when they coordinate. Of course Joe still has to go to work (someone needs to take care of the financial world, though maybe it would do just as well on its own).
