Luke has moved from the high chair to a booster seat with a tray attached. Last night the try was dirty when it was time for dinner, so I pushed the booster seat right up to the table and gave Luke his own plate, just to see how he did.
Not surprisingly, he did fine. Within 2 minutes he had dumped his own empty plate on the floor and reached out for the serving plate of pancakes and a fork (both of which I thought were out of reach...silly me) and started helping himself.
Luke is also showing interest in computers. He loves to try to type on my laptop, and create all sorts of havoc. (This may be the reason comments have been turned off for the past few days, it's hard to tell.) A few days ago I wasn't quite able to reach him before he started typing, and so I said "Close the computer, please." Luke looked at me, and put the lid down on the laptop. I sighed with relief, but then he unclicked the latch and started opening up the laptop again. I had been trying to keep the laptop closed to prevent his predations, but I guess that's a strategy that only works for so long.
My favorite was when he was allowed in the basement office. He managed to turn off and on Daddy's computer. He found a screwdriver and immediately went to work trying to fix the computer. I think I see a career for him...
Just a few bookkeeping notes: Luke has his 7th tooth (upper left) and is getting his 8th (lower left) so he will be symmetrical for the first time in a long time. His hair is growing over his ears...if he were a girl, I'd try putting it up in a binder, but we'd probably get to the barber shop soon. He can nod, which is good, and he is very good saying words which begin with 'B' (ball, bubbles, boo...) They do sound almost all the same, but I can understand from context. He also says "sssss" putting his finger over my mouth, trying to shush me. Much fun.

Each of our boys decided to wander off once (Daniel hasn't done it yet..). Yep, that is scary!!! They both headed downtown- they knew where the action was *sigh*
We lost Jay again this weekend- "family day" at work. Thankfully, there weren't any cars around, and he was "with" Daddy, so I didn't know he'd been lost until he'd been found.
Boys!
